Amber Valley Volunteer Centre
Amber Valley CVS supports you to make the right choice about voluntary work. We will hold confidential interviews on a 1 to 1 basis and match that to an opportunity which will suit your needs and support you with an introduction to a voluntary organisation.
We offer ongoing support and training to community, voluntary and public organisations.
We also have opportunities to volunteer at management levels, in the voluntary sector.
Our volunteers are engaged in a variety of organisations; helping on conservation projects, working in schools and youth projects, working with people with disabilities, providing support to elderly people or working in charity shops, and many more activities.
We also run a befriending scheme here at Amber Valley CVS, This involves providing companionship and support on a weekly basis for a lonely or vulnerable person. This work is extremely rewarding and we are always recruiting new befrienders onto our tailor made training.
