Thinking of volunteering?

There are many voluntary opportunities around for young people which can be really useful when considering what career you might like and it also gives you the opportunity to meet new people and make friends.

Information about vinvolved

vinvolved is the new national youth volunteering programme, which aims to revolutionise youth action in England for young people aged between 16-25 years (vinvolved has now replaced the Millennium Volunteers programme in England).

The vinvolved Derbyshire team have three main roles:

1. Creating new volunteering opportunities across all sectors

2. Getting young people into opportunities

3. Championing youth-led action

How do vinvolved involve a young person?

When you make contact with the v team we will:

  • Contact/meet you in a suitable place. We will then complete a volunteer registration form and individual volunteer plan. The plan will include your interests, what spare time you have and what activities you are most interested in. We will then find a suitable placement for you.

On occasion, we will arrange celebration events to further recognise the achievement of the young volunteers.
